Overview
A multi-zone embedded security system that handles intrusion events in real time. It combines an LCD and keypad matrix for interaction, a siren for alarms, and magnetic door and PIR motion sensors for detection.
My role
Sole builder: I wrote the firmware in mikroC (MikroElektronika) for a PIC18F45K22 and assembled the hardware myself, soldering every component, from resistors and capacitors to the sensors and keypad.
Architecture & implementation
- Firmware for the PIC18F45K22 written in mikroC.
- Hand-assembled circuit: resistors, capacitors, door sensor, PIR motion sensor, keypad matrix, LCD and siren.
- Real-time handling of intrusion events across multiple zones.
Key features
- Multiple independently monitored zones
- LCD and keypad interface
- Magnetic door and PIR motion sensors
- Siren output
